Fabulosity for $40!, August 5, 2010

Each year my father competes in a national mtb-bike competition in NZ that is known worldwide for toughness and stamina. Following last being epic William Wallace kilt and see-you-jimmy rasta hat, we needed something to top that. While cogitating on awe-inspiring men, it suddenly became clear that my dad (who was a former policeman) could do no better than Officer Jim Dangle. But how to find the distinctive attire? His trusty daughter side-kick suggested the all-encompassing Amazon, and there it was! Simple.

Well, not so simple, we needed to get a cousin in San Fran to take receipt of the costume and forward it to NZ for us, because we couldn't hold it direct (eerie), but in plenty of time it has arrived, been tried on and now that we have all stopped laughing at him, I can take the time to review the product.

Looks brilliant, fantastic colour, perfect fit, stretchiness makes it ultimate for riding on a MTB. Belt is a bit daggy (NZ for crappy). Cost was perfectly acceptable. Delivery was quick and efficient.

We bought this costume for our infant this Halloween and it was a real hit! The back of it had a velcro for simple diaper changing access and it was simple to place on her in general. I bought this for my 3 month ancient baby. It was really adorable when she had it on, but after 15 to 20 minutes, she absolutely despised it. Plus, the top part of the costume didn't fit very well and looked kinda droopy. You can see what I mean in the product picture.

This product came in excellent condition and was shipped very quickly. We were satisfied with most of it, but the sailor cap is a joke. I am not sure who is stocking these packages, but it appears that an adult male sized costume should come with an adult male sailor cap. It would have been nice to have the corn-cob pipe with it too but for the most part we are satisfied with the costume. The price is high for the quality of the product, but at least this company had a decrease price for the this same costume we have seen at party stores.
